Spicy Egg Puffs


Puff Pastry: 2 sheets
Eggs: 6, hard boiled and cut into half lengthwise
Egg white: 1
Onion: 2, thinly sliced
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 tsp
Chilly Powder: 1 1/2 tsp
Cumin Powder: 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder: 1 1/2 tsp
Salt & Oil

  • In a pan heat the oil and saute onion with turmeric powder, chilly powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt till the onion is soft and brown
  • Preheat the oven, 425 F
  • Fill the puff pastry with some sauteed onion and half of the hard boiled egg 
  • Make sure you don't press the edges too much
  • Place the filled puff pastries on a baking sheet
  • Beat the white of 1 egg and slightly coat that on top of each pastry with a pastry brush very lightly
  • Bake the puffs for about 12-15 minutes or until it is golden brown
