Ingredients:-
Kanava/Squid: 1 lb
Coconut: ½ cup, shredded
Turmeric Powder: ¼ tsp
Fennel Powder: 1 tsp
Black Pepper Powder: ½ tsp
Green Chili: 3, minced
Onion: 1 small, thinly sliced
Curry leaves: 1 sprig
Dry Red Chili: 2, broken
Mustard Seeds: ¼ tsp
Salt & Oil

Method:-
In
a pan cook squid with very little water and a pinch of turmeric till
its cooked well. Drain and set aside. When it cools down slice them into
thin strips
While
squid is cooking to the shredded coconut, add fennel powder, turmeric
powder, and ¼ tsp of salt and set aside for few minutes
In
a pan heat some oil and splutter mustard seeds. To this add onion, dry
red chilies, and curry leaves and sauté well till onion in translucent
Now add the squid strips along with black pepper powder. Mix well and cook it uncovered in medium heat for about 5 minutes
Add
the coconut mixture to the pan, mix everything thoroughly and cook it
again in low heat for 10 minutes. Check for salt and add more if needed
Switch off the flame and serve hot with rice
