My absolute favorite finger food. Growing up mom always made beef cutlets but lately I am favoring chicken cutlets more than beef. I absolutely love to have pipping HOT chicken cutlets with some Maggie Ketchup.
Ingredients:
Chicken breast: 3 lbs (cubed)
Ginger: 2” (minced)
Garlic: 4 cloves (minced)
Green Chili: 3 (Minced)
Onion: 2 medium (thinly sliced)
Turmeric Powder: ½ tsp
Coriander Powder: 2 Tbsp
Chili Powder: 2 ½ tsp
Pepper Powder: 1 tsp
Meat Masala: 1 Tbsp
Garam Masala: ½ tsp
Salt: Enough
Egg: 1 (Beaten)
Bread Crumbs: 1 ½ cup
Potatoes: 2 (Peeled, cubed, & boiled)
Oil: To shallow fry
Method:
- In a pan heat oil and sauté onion, ginger, garlic, and green chili
- When the onion becomes translucent add some salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chili powder, pepper powder, meat masala, and garam masala
- Mix well and let it fry with onion until the raw smells goes away (about 5 minutes)
- Add chicken pieces, mix well, cover and cook until it’s well cooked. (No need to add water)
- In the mean time cook potatoes and mash well
- When chicken is cooked let it cool, make sure there is not water left in the chicken
- In a food processor, add chicken and plus few time to get it minced
- Combine minced chicken, beaten egg, and mashed potatoes
- Check for salt at this point
- If the mixture is too wet add some bread crumbs and combine well
- Make small patties with the mixture
- Roll those patties on bread crumbs
- Heat oil in a deep pan and add coated patties and fry until golden brown on both sides
Serve hot with ketchup!!
