Beans Thoran

 


Ingredients:

Beans, cut: 1 ½ cup
Coconut grated, ½ cup
Onion, small: thinly sliced
Garlic, crushed: 3 cloves
Green chillies, cut lengthwise: 4
Dry chillies: 4
Curry leaves: 1 sprig
Turmeric Powder: ¼ tsp
Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
Oil: 1 Tbsp
Salt: According to taste
Water: ½ cup

Method:

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds and let is splutter
  • Add onion, garlic, dry chillies, curry leaves, and turmeric powder and saute for 3-4 minutes on medium heat
  • Add cut beans to the pan with water & salt and still well and cover it and cook it until beans get tender and all the water is gone
  • Now add grated coconut and stir well and let it cook for another 3-4 minutes without covering
  • Serve hot with rice
