Ivy Gourd Stir fry/ Kovakkai Mezhukkuperatti


Ivy Gourd- 2 cups, cut into round pieces
Onion- 1 medium, thinly sliced
Mustard- 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
Sambar Powder- 1/2 tsp
Chilly Powder- 1 tsp
Curry Leaves- 1 stem
Salt & Oil


  1. Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds
  2. Add sliced onions and curry leaves and sautee for f3-4 minutes
  3. Add turmeric powder, sambar powder, chilly powder, salt, and ivy gourd and mix well
  4. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook till ivy gourd become soft. Remember to stir occasionally.

Server with rice...
