Ingredients:-
Sardine: 8, cleaned
Tomato: 1 medium, sliced
Onion: 1 small, sliced
Curry Leaves: 1 stalk
Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
Garlic: 2 cloves, thinly sliced
Ginger: 2” piece, minced
Salt: According to your taste
Coconut Oil: 4 tsp
Ingredients to blend:-
Shallots: 4
Turmeric Powder: ¼ tsp
Chili Powder: 1 tsp
Green Chili: 1
Tamarind: 2 small pieces, Soaked in warm water for 10 minutes
Method:-
Sardine: 8, cleaned

Method:-
- In a blender blend all the ingredients under Ingredients to blend to a smooth paste
- Pour this paste over the cleaned sardines and set aside for about 15 minutes
- In a pan heat 2 tsp of coconut oil and splutter mustard seeds
- Add onions, curry leaves, ginger, garlic, salt, and sauté till onion is transparent
- Add marinated sardines and tomatoes to the pan, cover and cook it in low heat for about 10 minutes
- Open the cover and stir the fish pieces very carefully without breaking them. Add water if you want gravy
- Cook it for 10 more minutes without covering the pan
Serve hot with rice and moru!!
